For the past 40 years, I have been practicing as a registered nurse, specializing in psychiatric/mental health and substance abuse treatment. I work at a community hospital as the substance use consultation liaison nurse. I have a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from San Francisco State University and a Masters Degree is in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from University of California, San Francisco. I have spoken at numerous state and national psychiatric nursing conferences.
My private psychotherapy practice, separate from my substance abuse work at the hospital, began nearly 20 years ago. The focus of the practice is working with individuals, couples, and families on life adjustment issues and spiritual growth. This includes using a variety of theoretical approaches and frameworks, including: Carl Jung, Carl Rogers, motivational interviewing, positive psychology, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, as well as Gottman’s approach to couples therapy. My focus is on creating an empowering, therapeutic alliance with clients.
Past Life and Between Lives Training:
I was trained by Dr. Brian Weiss at the Omega Institute in New York, and completed the Weiss Past-Life Training. I completed additional training with Dr. Linda Backman in Past Life Soul Regression and Between Lives Soul Regression Therapy at the Ravenheart Institute in Colorado, and am certified as a Past Life Soul Regression Therapist.
Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique:
I was trained using Dolores Cannon’s Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT) and I am certified as a Level II QHHT practitioner.
Further Training:
Additionally, I trained with Suzanne Giesemann, completing Serving Spirit, Level I and Level II in evidential mediumship.
